Dryouts & Curing
Stork Cooperheat's high velocity heat treatment and refractory
dryout services are in operation throughout the world. The
utilisation of high velocity burners is an effective method of
curing and driving out moisture from refractory materials used in
process industries such as:
Petrochemical
• Flexicokers
• Fluidised Catalytic Crackers
• Power former reactors
• Platfomers
• Carbon Monoxide boilers
• CO2 Absorbers
• Visbreakers
• Vacuum heaters
• Separators
• Chlorinators
Steel Manufacturing
• Blast furnaces
• Blast furnaces stoves
• Blast furnace mains
• Blast furnace runner systems
• Torpedo ladles
• Steel mixing furnaces
• Arc furnaces
• Degassing units
Other Industries
• Cement furnace and kilns
• Alumina calcining plant
• Magnesite kilns
• Coke oven batteries
• Zinc and cadmium retorts
• Waste boilers
• Municipal incinerators
• Fluidised bed incinerators
• Fluid bed power generators
• Aluminium heat treatment furnaces
• Induction heat treatment furnaces
• Glass
Working under carefully controlled conditions we minimise the
risk of damage that can be caused by spalling and thereby extend
the life of the refractory.
The high turndown ratio of our high velocity burners (approx
50:1) coupled with suitable volume change ratio, enables excellent
temperature control. This flexibility also allows us to provide
low temperature heat treatment services for curing applications
such as paints, phenolics, epoxy resins and rubber linings which
are widely used in the fabrication of tanks and vessels. .
